OUR APPROACH

Our Approach

Specialist when it matters. Practical throughout. A consistent way of working, whatever the requirement.

A disciplined process, applied consistently.

Every engagement is different in its detail, but we follow the same disciplined process on every one: understand the real context first, assess what that means in practice, resolve it into clear and proportionate actions, then help embed those actions so the improvement lasts.
This keeps the work focused on what actually matters for your products, materials and teams, rather than generic checklist compliance.
UnderstandWe establish your product, material, market and policy context.
AssessWe identify obligations, evidence gaps and material risks.
ResolveWe define proportionate actions, owners and decision records.
EmbedWe strengthen processes and capability so compliance lasts.
WHERE WE START

Building understanding before building process.

Materials compliance programmes fail most often not because the regulation is misunderstood, but because the people specifying, sourcing and approving materials day to day were never brought into the picture. Industry practice increasingly starts by building that understanding first, then layering process on top of it.

We begin every engagement with targeted education and awareness for the teams involved, run alongside a gap analysis of existing processes, systems and data, and use both together to identify where process change is genuinely needed, rather than assuming a single template fits every organisation.

Targeted education and awareness for design, engineering and procurement teams
Gap analysis of existing processes, systems and data
Process change management planned around what the gap analysis finds
Proportionate scope, based on your products and risk profile
BUILDING THE DATA

A compliance position is only as good as the data behind it.

Industry practice for materials compliance increasingly centres on structured bill of materials and full material declaration data, connected to the systems that already hold procurement and engineering information, rather than one-off spreadsheets. We build that foundation with you.

Compiling BOMs and materials data
We work with your engineering and design data to compile a structured bill of materials for the products in scope, covering substances, mixtures and articles down to the level the assessment actually needs.
Assessment processes
We put a repeatable process in place for assessing that data against the regulations that apply, so the same question gets the same answer regardless of who is asking it.
Procurement data & systems
We work with your procurement team and the systems they already use to gather supplier and material data, rather than asking them to run a parallel process.
Identifying missing data & use context
We identify where data is missing or unreliable, and work out the manufacturing, importing and use context needed to interpret what data you do have correctly.
SUPPLY CHAIN COMMUNICATION

Getting the right questions to the right suppliers, and checking the answers.

A supply chain communication that asks the wrong question, or is sent to the wrong contact, produces a response that looks complete but is not reliable. We help design communications that ask for what is actually needed, in a form suppliers can realistically answer.

Responses are then assessed for accuracy and completeness, not simply filed — checking that what has come back genuinely answers the question asked, and following up where it does not.

Supply chain communication design and targeting
Response tracking and follow-up for incomplete or unclear declarations
Accuracy and plausibility checks on supplier data received
Escalation routes for suppliers who cannot or will not respond
DESIGNING FOR CONTINUAL COMPLIANCE

Compliance that holds as products and regulation change.

The most resilient compliance positions are not bolted on at the end of a design process; they are built into how materials are selected and specified in the first place.
We help design a compliance management system that reaches back into material selection, design and specification decisions, so new products start from a compliant position rather than needing to be corrected after the fact, and existing products stay compliant as regulation and supply chains continue to change.
Material selection and design review criteria built around current regulation
Change control that flags a compliance impact before a material or supplier changes
A compliance management system that reaches into design, not just procurement
Ongoing review as regulation, products and suppliers evolve
