The 15 New UK REACH Candidate List Entries: Full Substance List

Following on from our earlier post on HSE’s first tranche of SVHC additions under the new fast-tracked alignment process: the fifteen substances are now confirmed, and it’s worth setting out the full list. All fifteen were already on ECHA’s Candidate List — added there between January 2021 and June 2025 — and were brought onto the UK REACH Candidate List on 15 June 2026, taking the UK list to 224 entries. This is a catch-up and alignment step, not the identification of fifteen substances that are new internationally.

Why this matters

Candidate List inclusion isn’t a ban on manufacture, supply or use by itself, but it’s an important regulatory marker. For articles containing any of these substances above 0.1% weight by weight, Article 33 information duties may apply — including communicating to recipients and responding to consumer requests within 45 days. Where an SVHC is present in articles above 0.1% w/w and the total quantity exceeds one tonne per producer or importer per year, an Article 7(2) notification assessment should also be carried out, subject to the available exemptions.

If you supply both Great Britain and the EU/EEA, keep UK and EU compliance records coordinated but separate — the legal inclusion dates differ, even though the substances themselves are the same.

The 15 new UK REACH Candidate List entries

UK inclusion date for all fifteen: 15 June 2026. The “likely uses” column below is deliberately practical and indicative — it’s meant to help focus supplier enquiries and BOM reviews, not to prove a substance is present in any particular product.
